As an NLUUG member I visited SANE 2004 Amsterdam.
During SANE 2004 the Free Software Bazaar was organized on September 29 2004 by Bram Moolenaar, creator of the vim editor. The Free Software Bazaar was an unique opportunity to meet software developers and get involved in the creative process of Free Software. You could meet people you only know by e-mail.
Richard M. Stallman started the Bazaar with a presentation on Free Software. Richard is a long-time prophet of the Free Software Movement, founder of the Free Software Foundation and the GNU project. He is the most widely know figure in the world of Free Software and creator of the emacs editor. It was the first time that the creators of vim and emacs met each other.
I recorded the presentation and you can find the .ogg file here. Beware: the file size is 24 MB. I would love to have a transcript of the presentation, If you have written one please mail me so I can put it next to the .ogg file so not everybody has to download such a large file.
